Welcome
We now have a new county coordinator, Fred McKinney.
Fred grew up in Texas County in the Yukon community from 1974 to 1987, from the time he was 6 until he was 19. Fred's parents, Ed and Blanche McKinney, owned Yukon Antiques and Music and also wrote a book about Henry McKinney's five generations of McKinneys. You can call his Mom, Blanche, for a copy at (417) 372-2724.
As for Fred, he is a computer expert and is working on a completely brand new website for the Texas County Genealogical and Historical Society. He has also spearheaded efforts that are ongoing right now to make genealogy library materials more readily accessible by cataloging the collection and implementing the Dewey Decimal System, along with plans to make library materials available to paying members online whenever we can do so in accordance with copyright laws.
All of the information on this website as well as on the old version of this website, accessible through the Internet Archive, will be uploaded to the new website. At this time, it is a work in progress, and there's a lot to do, but will be uploaded and completely replace this site once it's ready to go.
MOGenWeb Policies and ProceduresBob Jenkins, state coordinator.
We would appreciate any contribution that you would like to make.
